Campaign for
VET & Technologies Education
 

Purpose

The Campaign for VET & Technologies Education (CVTE) aims to establish Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs in Victoria, Australia, capable of producing a sustainable supply of high-quality and professionally qualified Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Technologies (Design & Technologies and Digital Technologies) teachers to resource Victorian schools.

of schools in Victoria have difficulty finding qualified Technologies teachers

(DATTA, 2019).

of schools in Victoria are using unqualified  teachers from other learning areas to teach Technologies due to teacher shortage (DATTA, 2019).

of schools in Victoria have reduced their Technologies offerings  due to difficulties finding qualified teachers (DATTA, 2019).

The CVTE is currently petitioning the Victorian government for equal opportunity for VET in Schools trainers.
