Purpose

The Campaign for VET & Technologies Education (CVTE) aims to establish Initial Teacher Education (ITE) programs in Victoria capable of producing a sustainable supply of high-quality and professionally qualified Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registered Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Technologies (Design & Technologies and Digital Technologies) teachers to resource Victorian schools.

of schools in Victoria have difficulty finding qualified Technologies teachers

(DATTA, 2019).

of schools in Victoria are using unqualified  teachers from other learning areas to teach Technologies due to teacher shortage (DATTA, 2019).

The value of VET & Technologies teachers - survey

CVTE are in the process of analysing data of a survey to identify the value that VET and Technologies teachers bring to secondary education.  A report of findings will be uploaded to this website on completion.
